Piloxing, the new sporting activity that is making a splash
Have you tried zumba, boxing, Pilates or dance and want a change? Discover Piloxing! New sports activity coming straight from Sweden, it is a hit in the United States by mixing Pilates, boxing and dance classes: intensive cardio-respiratory exercises for maximum muscle building. All this to rhythmic and lively music, to make sporting activity more fun and less exhausting.
You have to try to let off steam if you choose to practice this activity. No breaks are foreseen during the sessions. Each participant reproduces the coach’s choreographies and connects the movements. The results would be rather promising: 900 calories could be burned per one hour session.
An activity that requires endurance
Equipment side, Piloxing is practiced in sportswear with weighted gloves of 500g on each hand (around 20 € the pair). It is also recommended to wear sports shoes with a good sole, because this sports activity will lead you to jumping like boxing. It is therefore essential to take care of your joints.
This very intensive sporting activity is however not recommended for people who have never practiced a sport. If you are overweight or have never exercised before, turn to a milder activity to start.. Hopping for an hour without a break requires endurance that is not given to everyone.
