The Philips Hue app, with which you control smart lamps in the house, was recently updated. That update gives users new scenes to play with.
A few months ago, Signify, the company behind Philips Hue, released a major update for the app that accompanies the smart system with which you control lamps in your home. The app got a complete makeover, including a number of new features. Now there is another update available, which is slightly smaller in size.
Philips Hue update available
The small, but nice Philips Hue update gives users access to new scenes. These are two new categories with multiple options. The new categories are Lush and Futuristic.
Lush includes terms like Amber Blossom, Painted Sky, Orange Fields, and Blue Planet, focusing on softer and more vibrant colors. Futuristic is more about richer and somewhat brighter colors, with descriptions such as Soho, Magneto, Disturbia and Dampgolf. Admittedly, such descriptions sometimes say little about the colors you see. If you use Philips Hue yourself at home, discover the new scenes yourself.
In the meantime, there is still a rumor that the standard Philips Hue app will offer support for bluetooth. With the normal application you control the lamps in the house via the internet protocol Zigbee and the Hue hub, but Signify also offers Bluetooth versions of the lamps. You operate it without a hub and directly from your phone. To be able to operate those lamps, you now have to download a separate app; but that may no longer be necessary in the future, so you can control everything from one application.
