The Trigano brand, one of the leaders in the motorhome market, is launching its brand of campervans: Panama. Based on Ford Transit Custom, the developer offers two vehicle lengths (4.97 m and 5.34 m) for a total of 5 versions. Discovery.
Panama is the new brand of the French group Trigano, specializing in campervans. For its new entity, launched in July 2021, the brand chose a name with a Hispanic sound. Why ? Because the models, developed on the basis of Ford Transit Custom, are manufactured in the factory of Trigano Mediterraneo located in Peniscola, Spain.
Panama: the news for 2022
The new products have been on the market since the end of August. The manufacturer offers two lengths of converted vans (with pop-up roof) that he declines under the names:
- P10: 4.97 m long,
- P54: 5.34 m long.
The small model is offered with two 2.0L diesel engines of 105 hp or 130 hp, while the large one only benefits from the most powerful block. In all cases, the vans are offered with the 6-speed mechanical gearbox. Only 130 hp engines give the choice between two trim levels: “normal” or “+”.
The small van offers a sliding 3-seater bench over the entire length of the vehicle with two beds for 4 adults and kitchenette including: cooktop, sink and refrigerator. The P54 also offers 5 seats (without sliding bench) and beds for 4 adults. What more does he have? A 10 L gas water heater and more storage space.
Panama: price of the 2022 range
Here are the prices for the Panama range. Remember that until further notice, camper vans and converted vehicles (VASP) are exempt from the ecological penalty. from the moment they are designed to serve as accommodation and if the passenger compartment includes at least the following equipment : seats and a table, berths obtained by converting the seats, a kitchen area and storage spaces.
