In these three benign pathologies, but sometimes very troublesome, the chronicity is sometimes hopeless. And classical medicine does not always provide a miracle solution. Turning to homeopathy has the advantage of being as interested in the symptoms of the little patient as in his psychobiology. From where a personalized support which sometimes makes it possible to pass a course. Depending on the case, the proposed treatment can be only homeopathic or combined with medication.
At what time to take a homeopathic medicine? Ideally it should be absorbed at the time of the worsening symptom schedule. As this can lead to inconvenient times of intake, the following rule is used: the granules are preferably given on an empty stomach, or at a distance from the previous meal.
Recommended in cases of serous otitis
In 90% of cases, theotitis, an inflammation of the ear, heals spontaneously. For the remaining 10%, the homeopath combines Mercurius dulcis and Kalium muriaticum in 7 CH. It adds a basic treatment based on the profile of the child. Preventive measures accompany the prescription: effective blowing, no washing of the nasal cavities, and above all no passive smoking. A regular check-up is always recommended, especially as a badly treated otitis serous can disturb the good hearing of the child.
Effective in eczema
From the Greek “boil outside”, this skin disorder affects 15 to 30% of children and represents one of the main causes of homeopathic consultation. The diagnosis is based on the search for a family history, the presence ofallergy or exogenous factors (reactivity to water, excessive hygiene) in order to concoct a treatment perfectly suited to the situation of the little patient.
If the child has a red eczema oozing a yellow liquid like honey, they will be given Graphites. If the eczema is red and hot: we will rather appeal to Belladona. To this is added a basic treatment in line with its homeopathic “profile”, often: Calcarea carbonica, Pulsatilla or Sepia. Symptomatic treatment is generally daily and requires low dilutions (between 5 and 9 CH). The basic treatment consists of weekly doses with a high dilution, between 15 and 30 CH.
The results are visible quickly. In the event of a relapse, the treatment is continued, or even combined with allopathy (antibiotics if the eczema is superinfected). The major challenge remains to prevent eczema from progressing to hay fever, or theasthma. This risk is all the greater since the child’s parents also suffered from eczema.
Suitable for treating hyperactivity
Three main root causes are looked for before choosing an appropriate treatment forhyperactivity. The child is unhappy: he suffers from abandonment syndrome. The classic example is the arrival of a little brother or sister. He is anxious. It is the fear of school, of the teacher, even of death. He develops a true attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADHD syndrome). It is rarer and does not occur until the age of 6.
In each case, a homeopathic remedy can be offered. It will often be Lachesis, Arsenic album or Amphetaminum sulfuricum to respond to both the symptoms developed and the cause of their onset. The goal? Avoid prescribing psychostimulants too quickly, such as Ritalin.
