Opel launches the new Movano on the French market. The utility, a technical cousin of the Peugeot Boxer in particular, is available in a multitude of bodies. It is available in diesel but also in electric, and starts at 29,550 € HT.
Opel is completing its range of utility vehicles with the marketing of the new Movano, unveiled last spring. Everything changes for the German van since this latest generation is no longer a technical “cousin” of the Renault Master. Nevertheless, its characteristics are already familiar since the vehicle takes everything, apart from a few aesthetic details, from the new Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper and Fiat Ducato, other proposals from its new Stellantis family in the same segment.
Diesel or electric, identical volume
The new Opel Movano is powered by a 2.2 L four-cylinder diesel engine delivering 120 hp, 140 hp or 165 hp, mated to the front wheels via an automatic manual transmission. Its Movano-e electric version has a 122 hp engine and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 37 kWh or 70 kWh to choose from, for a WLTP range culminating at 117 km and 224 km respectively. Like Peugeot, Citroën or Fiat vans, this “zero emission” model has the same interior space as its thermal alternatives. The range of the new Movano has a plethora of variants designed for a wide variety of activities. In the van version alone, Opel offers the choice between three lengths and four heights with the following characteristics in terms of usable volume.

Payload question too, there are a multitude of options depending on the dimensions and the powertrain chosen, with capacities ranging from 1,105 kg to 1 6 25 kg.
Opel Movano finishes and equipment
In terms of equipment, the range of the new Movano is divided into three finishes. The basic Essentia model incorporates hill start assist, cruise control / speed limiter and the right sliding side door in particular as standard. The Air Conditioning Pack adds the following elements:
- manual front air conditioning
- DAB / MP3 audio system with 5 ” color touchscreen
- Bluetooth / USB hands-free kit
- ventilated glove box
- front alcove storage
- tablet on the dashboard
- reversing radar (panel van only)
At the top of the range, the Business pack also includes:
- navigation system
- reversing camera
- automatic lights and wipers
- fog lights
- electrically folding mirrors
- Safety pack
