A summons surely to announce the start of an end-of-life protocol which is being done in a “tense” context since the parents of Vincent Lambert, in favor of maintaining the treatments, have just announced that they would file three complaints. Two against Dr Daniela Simon (in charge of their son) and the hospital for “attempted murder”; the last for “false testimony, forgery and use of false”, against Rachel Lambert, the wife of the patient whose condition has worsened in recent years (swallowing disorders …).
Since the beginning of this family tragedy, the wife has always maintained that Vincent Lambert would have confided to her that in such circumstances, he would like to die with dignity.
No impact on end-of-life protocol
Contacted by Why actor, Me Sara Nourdin, Rachel Lambert’s lawyer, says: “For the moment, I have not received any confirmation from the prosecution of a complaint against my client.” On the subject advanced in the press, “false testimony, falsehood and use of falsehood”, she specifies that she told Ms. Lambert “not to worry”. “As it stands, there is nothing, in my opinion, that is likely to worry him about the threats made by the parents. None of this is characterized, ”she maintains.
