Lack of sleep would increase the rate of bad cholesterol and decrease the voucher levels, depending on the results of a study published in the medical journal Scientific Reports.
Researchers from the University of Helsinki (Finland) analyzed 3 sets of medical data. Those of a study carried out with 21 participants in the sleep laboratory, who experienced restricted sleep, those of a Dilgom study carried out with 518 individuals on the risk factors for metabolic syndrome and those of a 3rd study carried out on 2,221 participants aged 30 to 45 focusing on risk factors for heart health.
The findings of this study showed that a lack of sleep has a negative effect on the metabolism of the cholesterol.
Indeed, the genes that participate in the regulation of cholesterol transport are less active in people suffering from sleep loss.
Scientists have also found that people who lack sleep also have lower levels of HDL lipoproteins (good cholesterol).
Quality sleep, a health asset
Lack of sleep has been blamed by previous scientific studies in theuncontrollable urge to eat fat and in large quantities. He would also be a risk factor for diabetes in boys. Even more serious, it would promote metabolic disorders, heart problems, and increase the risk of developing chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, depression, obesity and the Cancer.
