The Jaguar C-X75 was one of the stars of the film “Specter”, from the James Bond saga. One of the seven copies produced for the shoot is offered for sale for around 1 million euros. Technically, it has little to do with the official prototypes of 2010 and 2012.
Although never produced in series – the project of its marketing having been abandoned in 2012 -, the Jaguar C-X75 has made an impression through many lives.
It was presented as a concept car at the 2010 Paris Motor Show with a 780 hp engine combining four electric motors and two gas turbines. Then it evolved into a prototype whose two electric motors and the 1.6 l gasoline engine combining positive displacement and turbo compressor provided 860 hp.
In 2015, his participation in a spectacular chase in Spectrum, feature film of the James Bond saga, made her enter into posterity. One of the seven copies made for the shooting has just been put up for sale.

A disguised rally car
Jaguar partnered with Williams’ engineering department to design and produce the C-X75s of Spectrum. Of the seven cars thus assembled, two carried the official turbo hybrid engine of the supercar. The other five, intended for the chase stunts in which James Bond (Daniel Craig) and his Aston Martin DB10 created for the film are chased by Mr. Hinx (Dave Bautista) at the wheel of the Jaguar, were based on a completely different technical basis. .
The copy offered for sale at PistonHeads is one of these. Its composite body is built on a lattice chassis meeting WRC championship specifications, its suspension is from a rally Porsche 911 GT3, and its hood houses Jaguar Land Rover’s 5.0L supercharged V8. In an appearance similar to that of the concept car, the Spartan interior is a reminder that this is a stunt car. But, important detail for collectors: this C-X75 is fitted with chassis number 007.
1 million euros for the C-X75 from Specter
Jaguar sold this cinema C-X75 to its current owner after the production of Spectrum. The car is therefore a first hand, and it was recently the subject of an overhaul in the Jaguar Land Rover department dedicated to vintage vehicles. It is priced at £ 864,000, or over € 1 million (€ 850,000, excluding local taxes).
