I am a rice lover, but I am mildly diabetic. According to friends, bulgur – especially for diabetics – is better than rice and I see it more and more. Is it a suitable product for me?

Cooked bulgur (wheat) contains about half the amount of carbohydrates in cooked rice. You can take the same amount of carbohydrates as people without mild diabetes. Sometimes it is necessary to count carbohydrates and spread them well over the meals. When carbohydrates enter evenly, the body can process them better.
I recommend eating regularly: three main meals each day, namely breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a maximum of four snacks in between.
