Presumably, the iPhone 14 will be very different from the current version, partly because it will be very flat.
When the latest iPhone is out, everyone will be talking about the successor. We also. The rumor mill is running at full throttle right now. If the rumors are true, the “iPhone 14 Pro” will be a significant departure from Apple’s current design philosophy.
iPhone 14 flat
The changes aren’t significant with every new iPhone launch. Apple updates the iPhone over multi-year design cycles with minor changes each year. Rumor has it that the “iPhone 14 Pro” may skip this tradition and come with major changes.
Since the iPhone 12, we have become accustomed to the current design paradigm with flat sides and sleek design. The iPhone 13 improved it with a huge camera bump. But several posts are talking about Apple’s exit from its tap-tak-tak cycle. Several analysts came out this year with information that Apple would like to introduce a hole punch camera. This would mean that the camera bump will disappear altogether.

Jon Prosser, the celebrity hottie, released last September what he thought the “iPhone 14” would look like just before the iPhone 13 announcement. The renders showed a device with flat sides, but no camera bump, no notch, and iPhone 4-like volume buttons. Other analysts also supported this. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman announced indicated that a completely new design would come for the next iPhone. The images show some renders where the iPhone has been given a completely new design. Whether Apple has the guts to change the popular design already, that remains to be seen. We still have to wait for this, because the iPhone 14 is expected in September 2022.
