“There is no active circulation of the virus in France” declared the Minister of Health, Roselyne Bachelot this Friday morning. This is why France maintains its level of alert at level 5A whereas yesterday the World Health Organization declared the state of global pandemic by going to level 6, that of the maximum alert, in the face of the expansion of the virus.
According to the minister, there have been in France since the end of April 80 confirmed cases of influenza A, including 68 imported by travelers and 12 people “very close” to people returning from abroad.
