How can mistrust turn into trust?
A relationship of trust is not innate. It is built over time and interactions, whether in a couple relationship, friendship or between colleagues. To switch from distrust to trust, a mutual interest must be at stake.
Start by spending time together
No bond of trust can be created without repeated interaction. Whatever the situation, even if it is not favorable, there is no point in cooperating with a person who will not be seen again or who will not have an influence on personal reputation.
This is why trust involves everyone’s personal interest, which must be win-win. As soon as there is a risk of loss for oneself and a gain for the other, there is no reason to give one’s confidence.
Knowing how to communicate to trust each other
A relationship of trust is built through communication. If you suspect the person of having already betrayed, mistrust will take over. As soon as doubt arises, our human nature pushes us not to trust.
Whatever the nature and context of the relationship, to develop sufficient trust, it is not only necessary to interact often together, to communicate to understand each other better and above all to have something to gain mutually. Even in a difficult or unfavorable context, it is possible to find an alliance if the conditions are met.
