Recently I read that many people have a potassium deficiency. A blood test showed this to be the case with me as well. Up to twice. I don’t get it, I eat my vegetables and two pieces of fruit every day. Could it be that I drink too much tea and pee it out?

Too little potassium in the body can have several causes. It can be the result of a low potassium intake, but it can also be because your body is draining or storing potassium in the cells. It is important to discuss with your doctor what he or she thinks is causing your potassium deficiency.
What you’re doing is right, opting for potassium-rich foods. Fruits and vegetables are indeed rich in potassium. A tip is: replace table salt with table salt substitute with potassium.
The color of your urine says nothing about the potassium level. It is actually good to drink a lot of tea. This is also apparent from the new recommendations of the Health Council.
