Meteo France has classified 51 departments in orange vigilance, in the face of the heat wave that is sweeping the country.
A heat wave takes hold in the metropolis. The heat wave is such that 51 departments have been placed in orange vigilance by Météo-France.
In the sun, the feeling of heat can exceed 40 ° C, also warned the specialized channel. In the Paris region, this heat stroke is accentuated by a peak in ozone pollution which makes the air even more suffocating.
As a result, the Ministry of Health launched the “Heat wave info service” telephone platform accessible on 0800 06 66 66 (free call from a landline in France, 9 am to 7 pm). This number provides information on what to do in hot weather.

The AP-HM is mobilizing
In the following days, the rise in mercury will reach the east of the country. And although the Mediterranean rim is more used to these record temperatures, the hospital services are getting organized to face the heat wave.
Like the Assistance publique – Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) which is launching for the 7the consecutive year its Hospidom system. Set up by the establishment’s home hospitalization service (HAD), this system can quickly take care of any patient suffering from heat stroke and / or dehydration at home.
Launched in 2011, Hospidom has benefited more than 5,000 people in the Marseille region, and has avoided as many emergency room visits and hospitalizations. City doctors and institutions for the elderly can contact the HAD service team on 04 91 43 53 00 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 days a week.
