Full hair removal is not necessarily a good idea
More and more women are tempted by full hair removal. According to an Ifop poll for the show Day-to-day, one in five French people would indeed be a fan of full hair removal in summer. The others prefer to stay wiser and turn to the classic swimsuit, the bikini or the essential metro ticket. Many women think that full hair removal is more aesthetic but also cleaner.
As for aesthetics, everyone thinks what they want; on the other hand, on the clean side, full hair removal is not a good idea. Pubic hair is not there by accident, they make it possible to create a protective barrier against viruses and bacteria. When there is no more hair, the risks of infections or yeast infections are therefore much greater. Urinary tract infections are also more frequent.
Risks of contracting a sexually transmitted disease
A study, carried out on the subject a few months ago and published in the journal Sexuality Transmitted Infections, revealed that the women who had removed all their pubic hair had 2.6 times more likely to contract a sexually transmitted disease (STD), especially herpes, syphilis, chlamydia or gonorrhea. But that’s not all. The more frequently you wax your bikini line, the more you run the risk of damaging your skin and suffering from ingrown polishes, which can end up becoming infected. The skin of the pubis is particularly thin and sensitive, so subject it to the violence of regular waxing can end up creating irritation and burns which we would do without. What is certain is that to avoid any risk of infection, you must have impeccable personal hygiene.
