Saturday, January 16, 2016 : On the eve of the week to commemorate the Charlie Hebdo attacks, a decree providing for the free healthcare for victims of terrorist acts was published in the Official Journal.
The announcement of this decree was made by the Minister of Health Marisol Touraine, just after the attacks of November 13. He is entered into force Monday, January 4.
From now on, people injured during a terrorist act and people “involved”, that is to say “present at the scene of the terrorist act, presenting physical or mental damage which is directly related to it”, will be exempt from payment for medical care.
The decree also provides for the elimination of the waiting period for the allocation of daily allowances.
