We have to register in more and more places. If we do that with our real e-mail address, we will be stuck with an endless amount of spam for years to come, while with a ‘real’ fake address we make everything disappear into a black hole, including that indispensable e-mail with the confirmation link. A temporary email address is therefore the solution and TempMail – a tip from Jurjen Bakker – offers this. Via the site you choose or create an address that you then enter where necessary. A little later you will receive mail on the site and you confirm the registration. Then you write down the address for later and then throw it away. Make a note for later? Yes: if, for example, you have lost your login details, you can often only recover them from the email address known to the site. By choosing a name yourself at Tempmail and writing it down, you can use it again later if necessary.
