At Voor Nop, we love portable programs: they don’t pollute the registry, you can easily take them anywhere and they can be removed or moved quickly. We become almost ecstatic from a bundle with only portable software that contains just about everything a person could wish for. SyMenu is such a bundle and Peter Uittenbogert tipped us off about it.
SyMenu offers its own start menu (which also gives you quick access to your own files) and a module to download the components you want. You can choose from more than 1,200 portable programs. For techies, there are all the tools from Nirsoft and the Microsoft utilities from SysInternals, and for all other users there is a wealth of well-known and lesser-known applications. These are clearly divided into sections and provided with a clear description.
