Windows recognizes certain file types, such as images or audio, and then automatically adjusts the display in Explorer to show certain information that is specific to that file type, such as the artist name for music files. You can also adjust the displayed information to your liking by choosing additional columns. However, the amount of meta tags – because that’s what we’re talking about – is nothing compared to that of Metadata++, which has more than 2500. You can not only retrieve these (and even write them to a spreadsheet) but also edit them, even in batch. Sublime!
