Weblog GeenStijl has enriched the Dutch language with the verb ‘wegjorissen’ which stands for decisive removal. Windows lets you uninstall programs, but it doesn’t do it briskly because it often leaves behind unwanted junk in the form of folders or registry entries. Geek Uninstaller ‘Jorist’ installed programs, on the other hand, are really gone, ie after the normal uninstall, a scan for leftover junk follows. The nice thing about this is that the program can also unleash its great disappearing trick on (sometimes installed unsolicited) components from the Windows Store.
