In most cases, Windows Task Manager does a great job, but sometimes it also fails to close a program that stubbornly refuses to quit. Then coarser artillery is needed. DTaskManager includes a special kill command for such cases. Also useful is the ability to temporarily freeze tasks; useful when, for example, there is a heavy job running and you need system resources for something else. Finally, DTaskManager provides more extensive information than its Windows counterpart, and it does it all portable too.
