Lifetime vital card

The measure had already been mentioned in the press. This vital card would allow policyholders to no longer have to fill out a multitude of papers in the event of a change of status. It will suffice to live on French territory for at least six months to benefit from social cover.
The measure also benefits married women and men who do not work and are now affiliated with their spouse’s Social Security. In the event of divorce, they will retain their personal rights and will no longer need to fill out a form to benefit from universal health coverage.

The President of the Republic also spoke about pensions. “Young people have a concern, which they express: will they also have a pension to which their contribution entitles them? “, He wondered, calling on companies to” take their part “in safeguarding the various regimes.
“Courageous measures must be taken but they cannot be based on the employees alone”, he insisted. A message that reflects the will of the executive to increase employers’ contributions to complementary schemes – which Medef is opposed to.
