Health Insurance: “a new fraud technique has developed”
“Recently, a new fraud technique has developed: it consists of contacting policyholders by telephone, pretending to be a health insurance advisor. The advisor then explains to the person they are talking to that they have noticed suspicious transactions on their ameli account and suggests that the “victim” resolve the problem with them,” underlines Health Insurance.
“During any contact, our agents must introduce themselves with their name, their department and their affiliated fund. They also have access to your individual file”, she explains. So do not hesitate to make sure that you are dealing with an agent of our services by asking them to tell you the last reimbursement paid into your account”, she advises.
