Vaccination coverage against meningococcal C infections is estimated at 75.7%, compared to 39.3% for the same period in 2017. “The discourse on vaccination is changing”, noted the Prime Minister , who also welcomed the success of the flu vaccination experiment, which was generalized from October in all pharmacies.
Fight against obesity and sedentary lifestyle

The government also intends to better disseminate the new recommendations (more pulses, whole grains in particular) and reduce salt consumption by 30% by 25%. It has set itself several objectives by 2023, including a 15% reduction in obesity among adults and 20% among children and adolescents, as well as reducing the percentage of elderly people or malnourished hospitalized patients. In terms of form, it also wishes to promote physical activity in the workplace, among seniors and among people with chronic illnesses.
Finally, Matignon renewed its intention to fight against unnecessary prescriptions of antibiotics, which contributes to bacterial resistance. For this, he wants rapid tests reimbursed by Social Security to be deployed in pharmacies next year, which will make it possible to check whether angina is viral or bacterial. Until now, they were only available to general practitioners and, as part of an experiment, in 600 pharmacies without their cost of 10 euros being covered.
