Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett is getting a series on Disney+ and the first trailer is online!
Disney is going to completely milk Star Wars with all kinds of series. We already knew that and that’s not a bad thing at all. The Mandalorian was a great series, so bring on more.
The most famous bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe takes center stage in his own show. Disney+ has previewed what’s in store in The Book of Boba Fett with the first trailer for the series.
Famous bounty hunter Star Wars
And, of course, we’re talking about Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison). He is now Tatooine’s crime boss. Fett was presumed dead after falling into the sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi, but he returned in The Mandalorian.
The trailer shows Fett and his partner Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen, who also stars in her role from The Mandalorian) ruling the underworld of the desert planet. They try to maintain order among criminals while fending off the threat of a coup. Fett seems more magnanimous than his former boss Jabba the Hutt, who is said to have fed someone to one of his creatures over the smallest disagreement they had. Fett, however, lets his critics speak freely.
Premiere
We will have to wait a little longer before the series can be seen on the streaming service. We’ll then learn more about this new era of crime on Tatooine, when The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ on December 29. Meanwhile, season three by The Mandalorian is in production, but it’s not clear when that show will return to the streaming service.
