To fight the endocrine disruptors, these chemical substances suspected harmful, the Council of Paris, on ecological proposal set up a device to “stop their ravages on our health”.
“These synthetic chemicals have invaded our daily lives. Today we must organize a real combat plan to stop their devastation on our health”, explained Anne Souyris, EELV deputy for Health of the mayor PS of Paris Anne Hidalgo, cited by La Dépêche.
To establish the benefits of this new protocol, research on a sample of Parisian municipal establishments will establish a photograph of the presence of endocrine disruptors in the daily lives of Parisians. Specifications will then be drawn up with recommendations on purchases, exclusions, etc.
To reduce the presence of endocrine disruptors, food contact with all kinds of plastics (boxes, sachets, cling film) must be avoided. It is better to choose the glass containers for heating in the microwave.
It is also recommended to consume fruits and vegetables “organic”, because 65% of fruits and 30% of non-organic vegetables contain pesticide residues.
