A German study recently published in the European Heart Journal told us good news: chocolate, consumed in small amounts every day, would reduce blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular disease. The research was carried out for almost 10 years on more than 19,000 adult volunteers. The results speak for themselves: People who ate the most chocolate (7 grams per day) had lower blood pressure and a 39% reduced risk of developing heart disease.
But be careful, it is not a question of eating just any chocolate, preferably consume dark chocolate, which is richer in flavanoldes and less caloric.
