The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, went to the ceremonies of November 11 aboard a new DS 7 Crossback designed for the Élysée. It is a plug-in hybrid model of 300 hp, armored, and with an extended wheelbase.
During his inauguration as President of the Republic in May 2017, Emmanuel Macron paraded on the Champs-Élysées aboard a DS 7 Crossback prepared for the occasion. Visibly loyal to the premium French manufacturer of the Stellantis group and its SUV, the head of state has a new presidential version of the DS 7 Crossback, which bears the suffix Élysée.
Long wheelbase and custom finish
Compared to a production copy, the DS 7 Crossback Élysée has an extended wheelbase of 20 cm to reach 2.94 m, bringing the total length to 4.79 m, against 4.57 m at the base. This frees up 54.5 cm of legroom for the rear passengers, who have two individual seats instead of the original three-seater bench. Second-row occupants also benefit from several wireless chargers and USB ports, as well as a central document holder. The upholstery is in black Basalt leather, the headliner in Alcantrara, and the central console bears the “RF” logo.

The President in plug-in hybrid of 300 hp
Like the previous one, the new DS 7 Crossback at the Élysée sports an Ink Blue body. Its exclusive 20-inch rims are black, not gray. The vehicle is fitted with the 300 hp E-Tense 4×4 plug-in hybrid powertrain, while its predecessor had to make do with the 180 hp 2.0 BlueHDi two-wheel drive diesel.
The DS 7 Crossback Élysée is fully armored. It is equipped with blue and red “flash” lights, removable flag carriers on its front wings and a communication system specific to its presidential function. The tricolor flag on the hood and trunk, as well as the “RF” badges on the front doors, complete the range. President Macron released his new DS 7 Crossback on the occasion of the Armistice commemorations of November 11.
