The restyling of the tricolor DS7 Crossback premium SUV will be formalized by the summer. Remember that the model, presented in February 2017, was only launched in early 2018 on the French market and that after four years of career, the brand’s standard bearer will go through the restyling box. Especially that his career will continue until 2025date on which it will be replaced by a second generation 100% electric and made in Italy.

DS7 Crossback subtle metamorphosis
Precisely, the restyled version was surprised in a parking lot, certainly heavily camouflaged, but the photographer having approached as closely as possible, we can already observe the extent of the modifications made. The DS7 Crossback vintage 2022 will have new headlamps with thinner contours with a new light signature. No more expensive kinematics with 180 degree swivel modules when unlocking the vehicle. The DS7 Crossback is no longer a follower of show politics, it is now banking on other assets.
Just below the headlights, by contrast, the daytime running lights take on thickness and above all a verticality like those that illuminate the nose of the new DS4. The black part and the protective ski at the bottom of the bumper are also completely redesigned with a design suggesting a visual widening of the vehicle, a trapezoidal shape which gives the seat and puts the car on the ground. Beneath the perforated camouflage to allow the mechanics to breathe properly, the grille looks flatter while the opening looks wider. Finally, at the edge between the bottom of the shield and the black part, the shape features more frank facets, a more virile design which brings aggressiveness to the DS7 Crossback. No more curves and curves.
On board, contrary to what one might have thought, the DS7 Crossback does not receive the panoramic screen of the DS4, it does indeed retain the original one so as not to upset the layout of the dashboard. . On this single snapshot, it is still difficult to judge whether the interface has been modified or not.
A DS4-style tailgate?
The rear of the restyled DS7 Crossback is not to be outdone either with a tailgate model that is more hollowed out at the level of the part between the headlights. This is, again, a DS4-style spirit with an arrangement in the form of strata which, as at the front, aims to widen the vehicle. A possibility allowed at a lower cost because the tailgate flap is made of plastic material here.. Modifying a mold is much less expensive than changing a stamping tool. Finally, the restyled DS7 Crossback sports 19-inch rims whose design is strictly identical to those on the DS4 E-Tense.
