I am a heart patient and have constant pressure on my chest and I have osteoarthritis in my knees. I’m under treatment for my heart. I would like to move a little more, but if I have walked a bit, my legs already hurt and I am dead tired. Are there any exercises I can do that won’t hurt my heart? I don’t want to be behind the garaniums. I am 77 years old.

Dear Mrs. Jansen,
The best thing you can do is to talk to your cardiologist, ask him if it’s okay to exercise a little more. He can assess whether it is useful or not harmful if you start exercising. If that question is answered, we can give better advice. Now that’s a leap in the dark.
Bee arthrosis from the knees it is advisable not to walk too much. If you already want/can move, the best option is the bicycle. A home trainer is often the solution. It is also recommended to do some muscle strengthening exercises that do not put too much strain on the joints. In our book Your second childhood starts now there may be some good exercises.
But first ask the doctor; what is possible and what is not. Courage!
Sincerely, Ard Schenk
