Fancy a savory dessert after lunch? Serve a cheese board just like the French do. 10 tips!
Preparation
1. Get a large shelf or a nice big plate.
2. Take at least 3 types of cheese and no more than 6 different ones.
3. If it is part of a whole meal, a total of 100 grams per person is sufficient.
4. Provide variety in flavours: from light and creamy to spicy and crumbly.
5. You taste from light to strong, and from young to old. Or you can follow the order white-red bacteria-goat-blue vein.
6. Remove the cheeses from the refrigerator 30 to 60 minutes before serving. This way the flavors come out better.
7. Place a separate blade for each cheese.
8. Serve with grapes, pieces of fresh figs or dates.
9. A little apple syrup, fig jam or sweet jelly is a nice accompaniment to many cheeses.
10. Delicious with a piece of raisin/nut bread. Or serve with freshly baked baguette or crackers.
