Unfortunately still without 4Motion
The T3 may not be the coolest or most beloved of the Volkswagen Transporters, but it was the basis for one of the coolest VWs ever: the Transporter T3 Syncro. Especially with beefy off-road tires and the original eighties Syncro 4×4 livery. Purely matched in terms of coolness by the Golf Country Syncro. It takes an extreme amount of self-control not to give up work now and scour the sales sites for cool copies. Well, that’s not what we’re here for.
Off-road specialist Delta4x4 has set to work with the new Volkswagen Multivan to give the car a look just like the T3’s. For now it is still computer images, but the parts will go into production next year. The new Multivan is on the MQB passenger car platform and therefore no longer shares its base with the Transporter. This Golf Allspace will not be a full off-roader; it is only available in the Netherlands as a plug-in hybrid front-wheel drive. It does have 218 horsepower and plenty of torque. The power from the PHEV battery can also come in handy if you get lost deep in the wilderness.
The Multivan is favorably priced
The PHEV powertrain ensures that the Multivan is for sale in the Netherlands from 54,400 euros, which is significantly less than the previous generation Multivan. Moreover, you can silently crawl over the sandy paths without waking the animals from hibernation. For those who prefer moody squirrels to beat you up for their favorite snack (‘acorn!’), Delta4x4 has a sports exhaust for under your Volkswagen Multivan.
Nine accessories for the Delta4x4 Volkswagen Multivan
Delta4x4 is planning nine accessories for the second half of 2022. In addition to two sets of wheels (18 and 20 inches), you can shop next year for a 40 millimeter lift kit, a bullbar, a roof rack, a sports exhaust, PIAA high-beam headlights for the bullbar, wheel arch extensions and luggage racks in place of the rear side windows. If all goes well, there will be a 4Motion version of the Multivan for other countries. Importing is therefore always an option if you want to go into the woods with seven people.
