Measuring anxiety, medical management and daily life
“Its vocation is to measure over two years the feelings of all users of the health system, including chronically ill people, people with disabilities and their caregivers, and to provide knowledge on their feelings (anxiety, resilience), their medical care and their way of life during this long-term crisis.explains a statement from France Assos Health. The group of associations recalls that if the crisis upsets the way of life of all French people, this reality is even stronger for fragile people, more exposed to the virus and its consequences. For this study, 10,000 participants are sought: people with disabilities, caregivers, the chronically ill and healthy individuals. They will have to answer questions about anxiety, the management of their pathology and their daily life.
A pilot phase carried out during the first confinement
A first step was taken in the spring of 2020: approximately 2,000 people had responded to the pilot survey of France Assos Health. Nearly 1,000 respondents had a chronic condition. The results show that nearly 79% of the participants felt anxious and for more than 60% of them, the medical care was disrupted, due to a cancellation of an appointment for example. If you wish to participate in this second phase of the study, you must register on the site live-covid19.fr. “The first results will be delivered in May 2021, the final results in November 2022“, specifies the press release.
