The secrets of coriander
In addition to spicing up your dishes, cilantro is also a source of vitamins. Indeed, this aromatic herb contains vitamin a and of vitamin K. While the former is beneficial for the skin, the latter is essential for bone health. Vitamin K also plays an important role in blood clotting, it limits the risk of bleeding.
Moreover, due to its vitamin K content, coriander (taken in too large a quantity) is not recommended for people on anticoagulant treatment. Also, this herb is sometimes downgraded for a surprising reason: some people would say that this aromatic herb tastes “soapy”. They can always turn to flat parsley.
If you are on the other side, you may have noticed that cilantro can be found all year round. Know all the same that the peak season for this herb begins in April and runs through August. When choosing the bouquet, rely on the color! The leaves must be very green, therefore without yellowing, and they must not wilt.
