Male condoms can now be prescribed by doctors and reimbursed by health insurance. The Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn announced it on France Inter this Tuesday, November 27, then confirmed it in a press release. This preventive measure aims to relaunch the fight against sexually transmitted infections (STIs), after the survey which revealed that one in two young people do not protect themselves and a few days before World AIDS Day this Saturday. 1st December.
This coverage by Social Security concerns both women and men. On prescription from a doctor or a midwife, they will be able to receive from December 10 a box of 6, 12 or 24 condoms in pharmacies.
The condom, a basic tool for prevention
