It’s wrong. A baby cannot have the same needs as an adult woman. So yes, we eat more than before getting pregnant but 300 extra calories per day are enough at gestation. Prefer quality over quantity by adopting a balanced diet so that the baby does not lack anything: proteins, starches, vegetables, fruits, fatty acids … Do not take too much weight during pregnancy (ideally between 9 and 12 kilos) is important for the health of the baby and the mother will have much less difficulty losing it after childbirth… everyone wins!
