A bill requiring Florida state-subsidized daycares to play classical music for children has just been passed by the state Senate.
Nicknamed the “Beethoven’s Babies Bill,” the goal of Bill 660 is to create a program to stimulate brain development in children between 0 and 5 years old. Child care centers that receive state funding will need to expose children to classical music and at least 30 minutes of reading each day.
