At Citroën, the e-Méhari was a trial run in preparation for the arrival this summer of the MiAmi. This ecological beach car has the ambition to conquer Florida and, later, all of America. The argus tells you all about this vehicle of conquest.
Presented in the form of a concept car in December 2021, then exhibited at the Retromobile 2022 show, in Paris in mid-March, the Citroën Ami Buggy was not a stroke of the sword. It will indeed cross the course of the series but in a convertible version this summer. Baptized Citroën MiAmi in homage to the city of Florida, renowned for its sun and its beaches, this open-air vehicle is in line with the Méhari and e-Méhari. Note that the Citroën Méhari launched in France during the events of May 1968 had a brief career across the Atlantic. A copy of Méhari “US” was at Retromobile 2022.

It is not yet official, but according to our information, Citroën has already hired two shock ambassadors to promote, from Florida, where it will be presented at the very beginning of the summer, the MiAmi.
“It will be Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas, the stars of the television series Two Cops in Miami who will promote the Citroën MiAmi“
In this casting, the singer Julien Clerc reached the final selection but the leaders of Citroën preferred to entrust him with a completely different mission: to celebrate this fall with great fanfare the 40th anniversary of the Citroën BX.
