After the X3, BMW restyled the very young iX3. The electric SUV takes the aesthetic changes of the thermal model and gains in high-tech equipment. Its powertrain does not change, as its base price is still set at € 69,950.
The first BMW iX3 of the name only entered production in October 2020, and here it is already restyled. The electric SUV is indeed entitled to an update aligned with that of the thermal X3 which was launched in 2017. Lthe range thus remains consistent, both in terms of supply for customers and production for the manufacturer.
A more sculpted physique
Aesthetically, therefore, the iX3 adopts the same novelties as its gasoline and diesel equivalents. It thus displays refined front light units, an enlarged grille, redesigned taillights with a pronounced 3D effect and a new light signature, as well as more marked bumpers. Besides the lack of an exhaust tailpipe, blue details on the front and rear still make the iX3 stand out from the X3. Adaptive LED lights are supplied as standard (laser optional). The sporty-looking M Sport package is standard on the “new” iX3, and 20-inch M rims are available as an option (19-inch base). Inside, we notice a revised central console. The iX3 comes standard with a 12.3 digital instrument panel inches diagonal and a central touch screen of the same size, therefore larger than before.
Nothing changes on the engine side. The electroblock still sends its 286 hp and 400 Nm to the rear wheels, and the 80 kWh (gross) battery, which offers 461 km of range in the WLTP cycle, accepts fast charging up to 150 kW.
