To keep beautiful teeth, a few minutes a day are enough! By practicing simple oral care, you can prevent the appearance of dental cavities and other gum problems.
Brushing your teeth, essential for oral health
Brush your teeth for two minutes, at least twice a day, after meals.
Prefer toothbrushes with soft or medium bristles because they are just as effective as those with hard bristles and less aggressive for the gums and use a fluoride toothpaste.
Lmouthwashes: in addition to brushing your teeth
Multi-protection, anti-bacterial and purifying formulas… A specific formula for each need.
Mouthwash helps clean interdental areas that are difficult to reach with a toothbrush. It helps to fight against dental plaque, bad breath and protects the gums.
It is used daily after each brushing. Let the product act for 30 seconds in the mouth and spit it out.
However, a mouthwash does not replace brushing your teeth, it is used in addition.
Dental floss to reach the spaces between the teeth
A real complement to brushing your teeth, the use of dental floss is an effective way to remove food debris stuck between teeth, remove dental plaque and clean areas where the brush does not easily reach.
Cut 30 to 40 cm of dental floss, wrap its ends around your middle or index fingers and keep two cm free between the two. Hold the floss taut with your thumbs and gently slide it back and forth between your teeth. Use a piece of new floss between each tooth. Unroll the yarn around your fingers as you clean.
Limit sugary foods to avoid cavities
Food is directly related to oral hygiene. It is necessary to limit sugary foods and drinks and snacking between brushings, so as not to promote the development of bacteria and the appearance of dental caries.
Instead, favor foods rich in fluoride (table salt enriched with fluoride, certain waters, dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, etc.) and calcium (dairy products).
Finally, don’t forget to visit your dentist at least once a year to check the condition of your teeth and gums.
