Apparently Apple thinks they have a good idea every now and then at Samsung, given this hole-punch display novelty for the iPhone 14 Pro.
It’s not snappy news. Because Apple itself will remain tight-lipped until the unveiling of the new iPhone. So it’s a rumor. Take the message with a grain of salt, but it is not inconceivable. Apple has been playing it safe for years by equipping the iPhones with a notch. But what’s the next step after the notch? Presumably an iPhone 14 Pro with a hole-punch display!
Hole Punch Display iPhone
Yes, you read that right. We know the hole-punch principle from Samsung, but also from many other brands. With this, the smartphone eliminates the old-fashioned notch and there is only a notch for the camera. According to the Korean The Elec Apple is opting for this technology with the new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max in 2022.
As a result, the screen grows a little bit. The challenge for Apple lies in the FaceID technology. That is still safely hidden in the notch. Apple has to hide that behind the screen. Because the tech company is not going to make a compromise. Otherwise they would have swapped the notch, including FaceID, for a hole-punch display in the past.
Only the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will get a hole-punch display, according to this rumor. The cheaper models still have a notch. We’ll see, although the new iPhone is still a long way off. Aim for September 2022.
