A special collaboration between Adidas and Kawasaki. A sneaker with motorcycle influences? Hell yes.
I would just wear your safe motorcycle boots when you get on the motorcycle. But for a night out or on a terrace, the new sneakers from Kawasaki and Adidas are extremely well suited. The look of the two shoes is inspired by Kawasaki’s ZX8000 and ZX 5K BOOST. Two iconic models of the motorcycle brand.
What you may not have known is that the love between Adidas and Kawasaki goes back decades. It was the year 1984 when Adidas launched the ZX500 sneaker. THE shoe took its inspiration from Kawasaki’s ZX series.
The new ZX8000 sneaker features typical Kawasaki features. This shoe consists of white kangaroo leather in combination with Kawasaki green leather elements. Blue accents and a Kawasaki Ninja reference can also be found on the shoe.
The ZX 5K BOOST has the color black as a base. But here too the green accents return. Just like the Ninja logo. The partnership between Adidas and Kawasaki is a tribute to Japanese motorcycle culture.
These shoes will be available at select Adidas stores. The US price is $160 for a pair ZX 5K BOOST and 120 dollars for the ZX 8000†
