Few little girls can boast of dancing the Zumba as well as Audrey. At six years old, she has Blackfan Diamond Anemia (ABD). Diagnosed when she was two months old, this rare genetic condition means her bone marrow isn’t making enough red blood cells.
But no question for Audrey Nethery to give up her activities little girls. She sings, she dances, and excels in Zumba, her passion. Worthy of a young pro, she shared the stage with professional dancers at a convention in Orlando. In front of the fans and dancers, she ignited the stage surrounded by her two teachers from Louisville and a professional team.
Raise awareness about the disease
Audrey’s mom, Julie Haise, has created a Facebook page where she shares videos of her daughter. With Disney princesses like Rapunzel, alone in her living room or on stage with the pros, this outstanding little dancer does not hesitate to put on a show and show what she is capable of! This support page has nearly 400,000 subscribers. Beyond the pride of a mother for the exploits of her daughter, this page is also a way to sensitize people to the cause of anemia and raise funds for research.
