A month ago, a hundred health professionals published a tribune against alternative medicines (such as homeopathy) which they called “fake medicine”. In this forum, they asked, among other things, to reimburse drugs or treatments from alternative disciplines.
Asked Thursday on the set of RMC, the Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn declared herself in favor of maintaining the reimbursement homeopathy, even if, according to her, “it’s probably a placebo effect”.
“If it continues to be beneficial, without being harmful, it will continue to be reimbursed” she asserted.
The Minister stressed that the French are attached to homeopathic medicine. “If it can avoid using toxic drugs, I think we collectively win, it doesn’t hurt”, said Agnès Buzyn.
