Lack of sleep, fatigue, unbalanced diet, stress or even tobacco or alcohol abuse… Dark circles have a multitude of factors. And even if no food will ever work miracles, favoring certain ones could reduce the appearance of your dark circles. Associated with a healthy lifestyle – including eight hours of sleep per night – a healthy diet will help to fight effectively against these skin problems.
To make your dark circles disappear, first bet on your blood circulation. THE flavonoids, present in colored fruits, and citroflavonoids, present in citrus fruits will help to blur the small purple vessels under your eyes. But also think of vitamin C, favorable to the synthesis of collagen and omega-3, which facilitates circulation. Vitamin E, an antioxidant, will fight against the aging of skin cells.
And especially, hydrate. Poor hydration will lead to sluggish lymphatic drainage and therefore more dark circles. Also avoid tea and coffee after 5 p.m., which will contribute to dehydration and reinforce the dullness of your skin.
Preserve your sleep
But the secret against dark circles rest above all restful sleep. To do this, choose foods that will help you sleep, especially starchy foods such as pasta, rice, cereals. Thanks to their starch content, they promote the production of serotonin, the hormone of well-being.
Finally, to no longer have puffy eyes when you wake up, avoid too much salt and sugar as much as possible. The latter will be responsible in particular for the tissue glycation, which accelerates the aging of the skin. And so the appearance of dark circles.
