Developed by the Ministry of Health, after consulting the High Authority for Health (HAS), the vaccination schedule brings together all the vaccination recommendations applicable to people residing in France. 2018 was marked by the entry into force of the Vaccination obligations for young children. In 2019, the vaccination schedule does not include any major changes. He is available online on the Ministry of Health website.
Marketing stops
- Typhoid vaccines : the Typherix® vaccine is no longer marketed.
- Monovalent tetanus vaccine : this vaccine is no longer marketed.
- Trivalent seasonal influenza vaccines : the Vaxigrip® and Fluarix® vaccines are no longer marketed. They are replaced by tetravalent vaccines (against 4 strains of the virus): Fluarix Tétra® and Vaxigrip Tétra® which have marketing authorization from the age of 6 months.
What’s changing in the calendar
- Flu :after the experiment carried out during the winter at the pharmacists of 4 regions (Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Hauts-de-France and Occitanie), flu vaccination will be extended to all pharmacists for the 2019-2020 season.
- Papillomavirus : any new vaccination must now be initiated with Gardasil 9® which fights against 9 strains of the virus instead of 4.
- Hepatitis B : mandatory immunization against the disease of dental assistants in training from April 1, 2019.
