The Withings brand has been selling smart scales for a while, which give you insight into your weight through a link with the accompanying smartphone app. The new Withings Body Scan goes a step further by adding a handle, containing sensors that, among other things, measure heart rate.
It also maps fat percentage and muscle mass in legs, arms and upper body. As a result, you get a more complete picture of your overall health.
Medically responsible
For the development, Withings worked closely with cardiologists, neurologists and other medical specialists. The device will be on the market in the second half of this year for 230 euros. Watch a demonstration in the video below.
