If the male orgasm is intended for reproduction, the female orgasm is exclusively intended for pleasure.
Half of French women would find it difficult to reach orgasm, whereas this is the case for only 6% of their partners. This is also what can push some women not to access it or feel guilty if they do not succeed.
What can block access to orgasm?
Being preoccupied, having intrusive or negative thoughts, not being able to relax psychologically and being in the present moment are very important causes mentioned by women who have difficulty enjoying sex. Being able to concentrate on your pleasure and that of your partner is not always easy in an overworked daily life invaded by a heavy mental load.
Another cause often put forward is the lack of self-esteem. Having a poor image of one’s body with physical complexes, or doubting one’s abilities and underestimating oneself vis-à-vis one’s partner is also at the origin of difficulties in reaching orgasm.
How does the female orgasm happen?
The female orgasm is the result of a real interaction between bodily stimulation (visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile) and the images fantasized by the brain. It generally evolves in four phases (variable from one woman and from one relationship to another): an excitement phase, a pleasure phase, an orgasm phase and a relaxation phase.
The conditions of female enjoyment are therefore to want to have a sexual relationship with one’s partner, or even be, without shame or guilt and to be able to spend this moment in full awareness, without pressure or the desire to do so in order to please the other. To help yourself, don’t hesitate to use fantasies or bodily stimulation, get in shape and talk to your partner about your desires.
