Check Operating System

Check which operating system you have by following the steps below.

1. Go to Institutions.
2. Go to Information phone.
3. The Android version number is listed here or under the button Software data.

To update

Sometimes it is still possible to update the operating system to a newer version. Go through the following step-by-step plan for this.

1. Go to Institutions.
2. Scroll down.
3. Tap on Software update.
4. You can see under ‘Latest update’ whether your version of Android is the latest available.
5. To be sure, press ‘check for update‘. The phone will now check again for new software. If so, you’ll get a push notification right away.
6. Run the update.

iPhone

iPhones must have a more recent operating system than IOS 9. That means WhatsApp will no longer work on an iPhone 4 or older models. If you have an iPhone 4S, 5, 5S, 5C, 6 or 6S, you can still update to iOS 9.
