WhatsApp always puts the conversations at the top where you last received a message. But those aren’t always the most important chats. It can be useful to put the conversation with a family member or friend at the top by default. That is how it works!
*Click on the gear at the bottom right of the video and choose the best quality to view the video as sharp as possible.
Pin conversation to iPhone
- Open WhatsApp.
- Tap the Chats tab.
- Swipe left to right on the conversation you want to pin until two buttons appear.
- Tap Pin.
Unpin a conversation on iPhone
- Tap the Chats tab.
- Swipe left to right on the conversation you want to pin until two buttons appear.
- Tap Unpin.
Pin conversation on Android
- Open WhatsApp.
- Tap the Chats tab.
- Tap the conversation you want to pin and hold your finger on the screen until multiple icons appear at the top of the screen.
- Tap the thumbtack symbol.
Unpin conversation on Android
- Tap the Chats tab.
- Tap the call you want to disconnect and hold your finger on the screen until several symbols appear at the top of the screen.
- Tap the pin symbol with the line through it.
